Welcome! I’m Edina, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) located in Vaughan, Ontario. I’m committed to providing trauma-focused, integrative, culturally sensitive, and individualised counselling. I provide virtual therapy for adults dealing with trauma, PTSD, relationship issues, anxiety, grief, and low self-esteem. I have 14 + years of experience supporting individuals with mental, emotional, and physical challenges.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much do therapy sessions cost?
I provide a complimentary 15-minute consultation to determine if we’re a good fit and address any questions about the therapy process.
Individual therapy sessions cost $150 per 50-minute session.
For EMDR therapy, I offer 50-minute, 90-minute and 120-minute sessions.
The cost for a 90-minute session is $225.
The cost for a 120-minute session is $300.
Credit card and e-transfer are accepted methods of payment.
How often do I need to attend therapy sessions?
The frequency of sessions is flexible and tailored to your individual needs. Initially, clients typically attend weekly sessions. In cases of acute distress, sessions may occur twice weekly. As progress is made and you begin to feel better, we may transition to bi-weekly sessions. This decision is made collaboratively and can be adjusted as needed throughout our time together.
Do you provide direct billing?
I do not provide direct billing services. You are requested to pay for the session directly and then submit receipts for reimbursement by your insurance provider.
How do I get started?
You can schedule a 15 minute consultation with me and we can assess whether we are a good fit. If we mutually decide to move forward, we’ll arrange your initial intake session. During this session, we’ll discuss your needs and goals, and review and complete consent forms. I will ask questions and guide you through various screening questionnaires to better understand your situation.
How long will I be in therapy?
The duration of therapy varies based on several factors, including your specific needs, the nature of the issues being addressed, the therapeutic techniques employed, and the progress achieved over time. Each individual’s journey through therapy is unique, and together, we will continually assess your progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed to ensure you receive the support and guidance necessary for your healing and growth.
Does OHIP or my insurance cover the cost of counselling?
Psychotherapy sessions are not covered by OHIP. However, many employer insurance plans offer coverage for psychotherapy services. I recommend checking with your insurance provider with regards to the types of therapists that are covered and the amount of coverage.
Do you offer in person appointments?
Yes, I offer both virtual and in-person appointments.
