Edina Landesman
About
Hi, I'm Edina Landesman!
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in Vaughan, Ontario with over 14 years of experience in social services. I bring a wealth of experience in supporting individuals facing diverse challenges. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with individuals navigating various aspects of mental health, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. Additionally, I have provided compassionate assistance to those managing physical challenges, offering guidance and resources to enhance their quality of life.
My work has also involved supporting individuals with acquired brain injury, helping them rebuild their lives and regain independence through tailored interventions and support networks. Furthermore, I have experience in assisting individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autism spectrum disorder, providing personalized strategies to foster growth and development.

My Story
Being a first-generation immigrant from Hungary, my journey to this point has been marked by both personal and professional growth, influencing my approach to counselling. Having traversed the challenges of adapting to a new culture and language, I intimately understand the complexities and nuances of adapting to changes and navigating unfamiliar territory.
My own journey through trauma has provided me with invaluable insights into the human experience of pain, resilience, and healing. Through facing my own challenges and actively engaging in the process of self-discovery and healing, including navigating several life transitions, changes, and coping with uncertainty and loss, I have developed a profound empathy and understanding for others who may be experiencing similar struggles.
My Approach
My approach is strengths-based and collaborative. I believe in harnessing your inner strengths and working together as partners on your journey to healing and growth. With sensitivity and compassion, I guide you through your healing journey, helping you navigate the intricate layers of your experience.
Drawing from my own resilience, I empower you to confront and process your trauma, cultivate healthier relationships, navigate grief, manage anxiety, and enhance self-esteem. My modalities include CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), Ego State Therapy/IFS Informed, CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) Somatic Approaches, Mindfulness, and SFT (Solution-Focused Therapy).
I am dedicated to providing trauma-focused, holistic, and culturally sensitive counselling, ensuring that you receive personalised support on your path to healing and empowerment.

Getting to Know Me Outside Therapy
When I’m not in the therapy space, you’ll often find me embracing life’s simple pleasures. I love practicing yoga – it’s my go to for finding peace and centering myself. Exploring nature trails with my furry best friend is another favourite pastime of mine. There’s something about being outdoors that just fills me with joy and grounds me in the present moment.
I’m also a total bookworm! Whether I’m diving into the latest psychological research or getting lost in a good novel, I’m always hungry for new ideas and perspectives.
And let’s not forget about brunch! I live for those lazy weekend mornings spent savouring delicious food and catching up with loved ones. There’s nothing quite like good company and good food to feed the soul.
In everything I do, I strive to keep a sense of balance, presence, and gratitude for life’s little pleasures. These moments of self-care and connection outside of therapy not only recharge my batteries but also serve as a grounding force, helping me stay centered and refreshed to better support others on their own paths to healing.
